Organisations, separated by commas

Last updated on 14.07.2026

Komma is multi-client capable from the ground up: a single Komma installation can serve several organisations simultaneously. Each organisation is a separate, clearly defined area with its own contacts, emails, campaigns, finances and settings.

Strict data separation

All data in Komma always belongs to exactly one organisation. This separation takes place automatically at database level: when you are logged in, you can only see your own organisation’s data. It is technically impossible to accidentally view another organisation’s data.

How Komma recognises your organisation

When you access the portal, Komma automatically determines which organisation the request belongs to – usually via the domain you use to open the portal. If your organisation uses its own website domain, this is also linked to your organisation.

Switching between organisations for administrators

Administrators who manage multiple organisations can switch between them within the portal without having to log in again. The switch applies to the current session; all views will then display data from the selected organisation.

Customisation per organisation

Each organisation can customise Komma to suit its needs:

  • Show and hide modules – unused sections disappear from the navigation.
  • Your own logo and name – the portal reflects your organisation’s branding.
  • Custom newsletter name – your newsletter is named as your members know it.
  • Custom website domain – posts and events appear on your organisation’s website.

These settings are managed by your organisation’s administrator in the admin area.
