Templates for mass emails
Last updated on 14.07.2026
Templates ensure that every newsletter your organisation sends looks equally professional – without anyone having to work on the design every time you send one out.
What a template contains
A template defines the basic structure of the email:
- Header with logo and newsletter name
- Colours and fonts to match the organisation’s branding
- Structure of the content sections (e.g. editorial, dates, announcements)
- Footer with legal notice and unsubscribe link
When creating a new newsletter, simply select a template and fill in the content.
Editing templates
Templates are managed in the Campaigns → Templates section. The template editor shows you a preview of what the email will look like.
Changes to a template affect future newsletters – emails that have already been sent remain as they were.
Why templates are important
- Recognisability: Recipients recognise the newsletter immediately.
- Time-saving: Sending the newsletter is editorial work, not design work.
- Deliverability: Well-structured templates pass through spam filters more reliably than haphazardly formatted emails.
Tip
Less is more when it comes to templates: a good standard template for the newsletter and perhaps a simple one for short announcements are perfectly sufficient for most organisations.
