Delivery and Tracking

How the mailing service works

To ensure reliable delivery to large numbers of recipients, Komma works behind the scenes with the professional email service Brevo. There’s an important reason for this: bulk mail sent via a standard email account quickly ends up in the spam folder. Specialised mailing services maintain the technical reputation required to ensure your newsletters reach the inbox.

For you, everything stays within Komma: you create, send and analyse your campaigns in the portal – the integration with the mailing service runs automatically.

Mailings

Under Campaigns → Sent (or Mailings), you’ll find the history of all newsletters sent: the time, number of recipients and status. This allows you to track at any time who received what and when.

Tracking: Opens and Clicks

Tracking shows you how your newsletters are performing:

  • Open rate – how many recipients opened the email. As a guideline, 30–50 per cent is a good figure for organisational newsletters.
  • Click-through rate – how many people clicked on a link in the email. This shows which topics are of genuine interest.

These figures are approximate: some email programmes block open tracking, so the actual open rate is usually slightly higher than the measured rate.

What to do if the delivery rate is poor?

  • Check whether many addresses in the recipient list are out of date – undeliverable addresses damage your reputation.
  • Avoid subject lines with lots of capital letters, exclamation marks or spam words.
  • If problems persist: Contact support – we’ll take a look at your configuration.
