Create and send a newsletter
Last updated on 14.07.2026
The Campaigns section is the tool for sending any messages to multiple recipients: regular newsletters, invitations and announcements. Here, you can create a complete email using content, a template and a recipient list.
Step-by-step guide to creating a newsletter
- Open Campaigns and start a new mass email.
- Select a template – your organisation has pre-designed templates that already include your logo, colours and layout. You just need to provide the content.
- Write the content – text, images, dates. For recurring newsletters, you can import content from the portal, such as the latest articles and events.
- Select recipients – a list or segment from your contacts.
- Send a test email – send the newsletter to yourself first and check it in your email programme.
- Send – immediately or at a scheduled time.
What happens after sending
You can track the delivery status under Sendings: there you can see when the campaign was sent out and to how many recipients. You can find opens and clicks in Tracking.
Unsubscriptions
Every newsletter automatically includes an unsubscribe option. Unsubscriptions are reliably processed – contacts who have unsubscribed will no longer receive newsletters in future, without you having to do anything. This is not only good practice, but also a legal requirement.
Tips for good newsletters
- A clear subject line determines the open rate – keep it short, specific and straightforward.
- The most important information first: Many people only read the first few paragraphs.
- Consistency beats length: It’s better to be short and reliable than infrequent and rambling.
