Synchronising contacts with your devices

Last updated on 11.08.2026

Komma is the central database for your contacts. Newsletters, lists and segments use this data directly – no synchronisation with an external newsletter service is required.

Contacts on your smartphone (CardDAV)

Komma can make contacts available via the standard CardDAV protocol. This means your organisation’s contacts will appear in your smartphone’s address book or email programme – handy if you want a familiar name to be displayed when a call comes in.

Access is read-only: you continue to make changes in Komma, and they then automatically appear on the connected devices. This ensures that Komma remains the single source of truth and prevents any conflicting data from arising.

Calendar (CalDAV)

Appointments can also be synchronised with your calendar via the CalDAV standard – find out more in the article Appointments and Calendars.

Set-up

If you wish to set up CardDAV on your device, your organisation's administrator will provide you with the login details.
