The audit log
Last updated on 14.07.2026
The audit log is Komma’s memory: it automatically records all important actions within the system – who created, amended, deleted or exported what, and when?
What is logged
- Creation, modification and deletion of contacts, posts, campaigns and other data
- Exports of data (particularly relevant for data protection)
- Security events such as logins and changes to access rights
Each entry includes the time, the person involved and the data affected. Entries are weighted according to risk levels, so that critical operations (such as deletions and exports) stand out.
Sensitive content remains protected
The audit log records that something has been changed – not every piece of confidential content. Sensitive fields such as passwords, access keys or bank details are automatically redacted in the log.
Who can view the audit log?
Access requires specific authorisation and is usually restricted to administrators. You can find the log in the admin section of the portal.
Why this is useful
- Data protection: The GDPR requires organisations to be able to demonstrate how they handle personal data.
- Troubleshooting: “Since when has this address been incorrect?” – the log answers such questions in seconds.
- Trust: A transparent log protects everyone involved from false accusations.
