Images and files

Images bring posts and newsletters to life. Komma provides a central repository for media files, ensuring they are not scattered across individual computers.
Images in posts and circulars
When creating a post or a circular, you can upload images directly within the editor. Once uploaded, images remain available and can be reused.
The Cloud: central file storage
In the Cloud → Files section, your organisation stores documents centrally – minutes, posters, templates. The advantage over email attachments and private folders is that everyone with access can find the same, up-to-date version.
Recommendations for images
- Landscape format works best in post lists and newsletters.
- Resolution: For web display, a width of around 1600 pixels is sufficient – larger files simply slow the page down.
- Check rights: Only use images for which your organisation holds the usage rights, and ensure you have the consent of those pictured when using photos of people.
File formats
JPEG is suitable for photos; for graphics containing text or logos, use PNG or SVG. It’s best to share documents as PDFs – they look the same on every device.
