Writing and replying to emails
Last updated on 14.07.2026
From the Mail section, you can write emails directly on behalf of your organisation – without needing a separate email programme.
Writing a new email
- Open Mail in the sidebar.
- Click New Email (or Compose).
- Select the recipients – the system suggests known contacts as you type.
- Enter the subject and body text, and attach files if required.
- Send – the email is sent via your organisation’s mailbox and ends up in the Sent folder.
Replies
Open an email in your inbox and click Reply. The link to the original message is retained, so recipients can follow the thread of the conversation.
Drafts
Komma saves emails that aren’t yet finished as Drafts. You’ll find them in the folder of the same name and can continue writing at any time – even from another device, as drafts are stored in the portal and not on your computer.
Sent emails
You’ll find everything sent from Komma in the Sent folder. Emails sent via the linked mailbox outside of Komma are also regularly synchronised there – ensuring your history remains complete.
Individual email or mass email?
The email section is intended for personal correspondence: individual recipients, personalised replies. For messages sent to multiple recipients at once – newsletters, announcements, invitations – use the Campaigns section. There you’ll find templates, recipient lists, a straightforward unsubscribe process and sending statistics.
