Postal dispatch and delivery

As soon as you approve a letter, Komma takes care of the rest. Here you can find out what happens behind the scenes and how to track its status.

Your letter’s journey

  1. Handover – Komma forwards the letter to the connected postal service provider (LetterXpress).
  2. Printing & Enveloping – the letter is professionally printed, folded and placed in an envelope.
  3. Postal dispatch – delivery is handled by the Post Office; the letter usually arrives in your letterbox within a few working days.

Tracking delivery status

In the Post section, you can see the current status for each letter – from ‘submitted’ to ‘printed’ to ‘dispatched’. For mail merges, this applies per recipient, so you can track who has received the letter.

If something goes wrong

  • Undeliverable address: If a letter is returned, correct the address via Contact – this will ensure it is correct for all future mailings.
  • Letter not yet arrived: Allow 2–4 working days for delivery. If it takes significantly longer, check the status in the portal and, if necessary, contact Support.

Why use a service provider?

Printing, folding, enveloping and franking the letters yourself – with 50 or 200 letters, that’s an evening’s work for several volunteers. Using a service provider costs barely more than the postage, and the time saved can be channelled into your organisation’s core work.
